The Thrilling Life™
I'm Laura Zam, keynote speaker and creator of The Thrilling Life™—a science-backed framework for resilience under sustained pressure. I make a counterintuitive case: resilience isn't built by grit. It's built by repurposing what you're already doing—like drinking your morning coffee—into practices that regulate the nervous system and restore essential inner reserves. From that buffer, clarity, purpose, and willpower naturally emerge. Through workplace speaking, campus programs, and writing, I help people stay steady and internally alive—without adding more to their plates.
Trusted by leading organizations:

A Smarter Way to Build Resilience
In a world of chronic stress and relentless demands, resilience isn't built by grit. It's built by learning how to restore ourselves—quickly, intelligently, and repeatedly—during the workday itself.
The Thrilling Life™ shows people how to repurpose what they’re already doing—like sipping coffee or tea—into practices that regulate the nervous system, sharpen thinking, and prevent burnout. The result is greater psychological steadiness and a renewed sense of aliveness, even under prolonged pressure.

Founder, The Thrilling Life™
Hi, I’m Laura
I’m a keynote speaker, bestselling author, and Certified Trauma Professional with a Master’s from Brown University. I teach people how to stay internally alive under sustained pressure—combining trauma neuroscience with practical, body-based tools anyone can use. My forthcoming book, SANITY: 50 States. 50 Tea Houses. One Quest for Wholeness in a World Gone Mad, chronicles the journey that led to The Thrilling Life™ framework—written while caregiving through my husband's health crisis.
I've been featured in The New York Times, NBC-TV, PBS, and other national media, and I bring decades of experience in theater, higher education, and workplace wellness to every room I enter. My mission is simple: to make well-being and aliveness possible, even on really hard days.
